Begin by charting your path to decarbonization. Coolset enables you to model various scenarios to visualize how different strategies will help you achieve your net zero emissions goals. By understanding your current carbon footprint and identifying key areas for improvement, you can create a realistic and effective plan for reducing emissions.
With Coolset, you can project your desired emission reductions and outline the specific steps needed to reach these targets. This clear roadmap ensures that everyone in your organization understands their role in achieving your sustainability objectives.
Target setting
Follow these steps to complete your target setting:
Set your baseline. The scenario builder will use this year as a baseline, to calculate how to reduce your emissions to reach your target. We recommend choosing the most recent year with complete data.
Set your start year. Select the year in which you plan to begin decarbonizing. The scenario builder will calculate how much you should reduce your emissions starting from this year.
Set your reduction target. Specify your emission reduction goal by entering the target percentage of CO2 reduction you aim to achieve in this projection.
Select the "Autofill Table" option. This action will refresh the table, incorporating all updated projections. Remember to refresh the table each time you alter your data to ensure it remains current.
Will your target be it? This depends on how you modify the reduction percentage per category. So always keep an eye on this answer.
Subcategory target setting
Every company has specific areas of focus, so allocating your projected reduction to each subcategory allows for targeted impact reduction. The percentage you input represents the reduction goal for that particular area. Adjusting this figure can significantly influence whether you achieve your overall goal.
Any modifications will be reflected in the graph. By hovering over the categories, you can view the annual impact reduction for each category.
Note: Want to start over? Resetting your target reduction plan will overwrite any edits you might already have made to reach your projected reduction target.
